Get a jump on it

This Thursday we will have some fun starting some Agility Foundations!

There is a Level 2 class for those who did the classes last year or have agility experience. The Level 1 course is such that really anyone can get started. You don’t need much to get started, something you can make a jump out of (broomstick over some chair legs or something else lower than your dog’s elbow) and some kind of board/plank thing they can step on and off (needs to be low enough they can stand on it with their front feet on the ground).

Since most of our agility needs some space the level 2 class I will be showing exercise demos and we will talk about the training that you can then go and work on at a later date. If you have space where you are for some more moving we can do some drills together as well. We can also share screen and I can help you troubleshoot so if you do have things you are working on and want input go ahead and video it and we can talk about it together.

Starting exercises you can play with before class:

Level 1: Calling over a jump:

Level 2: One jump drills
