As Promised Agility Resources

One of the single BEST resources for dog agility is CLEAN RUN dog agility:

  • They have so many free videos and free magazine samples you can explore: Free Videos

  • They have an online magazine, each magazine has training tips and exercises

  • They have the most comprehensive agility books & DVD collections: Agility for starters is a good book for those just starting out.

  • They the best agility equiptment, training toys, training aids, everything you need for traveling, fitness supplies and SO MUCH MORE

Youtube Channels: I’ll link a video and you can then click on their user name and explore all the other videos they have available. There are SO many more options out there! If you search dog agility on youtube you can find so many resources but here are a few to get you started.

Instagram accounts: With most trainers now monitizing online training there are less youtube tutorials than there used to be, however with people trying to generate business they often share some great smaller tips on Instagram, here are a few accounts that I routinely check out. There are so many great agility trainers on IG, these are the ones that I find offering the most tips.

Books: I don’t use a lot of agility books as that’s not how my brain works, I need to see things on video or work in person with someone to really understand things. That being said there are some great agility books out there. The best places to find agility books are as listed above, Clean Run, also Dog Wise and my very favorite book is: Agility Right from the start I do not get any kickbacks from these links so feel free to see where you can find the books the most affordable for you!

I was asked in the agility level 2 class to share the cue list I have for Julia’s cues I will be training so here that is. Please if you are just starting out don’t be overwhelmed by it or think you need to do all of that. This list is for a dog that will hopefully compete to the highest levels of the sport.

Since there have been so many of you enjoying the agility classes I went ahead and added more classes in December and January so you can keep going! Instead of breaking the class into two levels I have just one with an hour blocked out since those coming to level 2 have also been coming to the first class for the most part! The second half of class will work on more advancing levels so folks who are not up for that can exit early or stay and see if they want to work on more advancing things. (if you don’t see them on the schedule yet, they are coming, I am still working on it)
