Canine Fitness

Topic: Canine Fitness

Learn exercises to help improve your dog’s strength, fitness, flexibility and gain blody confidence! Suitable for healthy puppies and dogs, this is not an injury rehab program.

Have ready:

  • Treats

  • A balance challenge object: examples- a kneeling gardening pad, folded yoga mat, fitbone, air propel mat, balance disc, etc

  • A elevated platform of some kind: examples- an ottoman your dog fits completely on, a cot or elevated dog bed, a cato board or plank, a Klimb platform

  • A pivot bowl: examples: a couple of rubber feedbowls, a heavyweight upside down bowl (like a crock, planter) This object needs to be sturdy so your dog can stand on it with their front feet without it slipping away or tipping over.

  • A couple of traffic cones or something similar: examples- empty 5 gallon buckets, empty 5 gallon water jugs, pop up garden barrels, trash bins
