Fall back into training

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am feeling that end of summer excitement to know fall is right around the corner. Fall is my favorite time of the year, walking the pups in the cool crisp morning air. Kids are back in school so our trails are less busy. I also find that the end of summer is always a hard time for me to stick with training and good habits. Even for myself, I just find it a time when I am like oh that can wait, I need to enjoy these last long days before the light is gone. The heat makes it easier to stay inside, and makes it more challenging to take your dog places with you. Even though I am long past the days of worrying about school, and even though I don’t have any kids to worry about getting ready for school, there is something just instilled from all those early years that September is all about getting back to business.

Let’s get back to it!

So all of that to say, I can feel in myself that push to get back into a more dedicated training routine, especially having a young dog in need of learning many things. It was fun seeing y’all back in the zoom classes this past weekend! We have some fun canine fitness classes and foundations to play with! Anticipating our upcoming trip the end of October with Julia I really want to spend some energy helping her prepare for that so I will be taking her out into public spaces more as things cool off. Who else wants to jump back in with me? Pop onto Facebook and tell me what you most want to work on as I will be putting together another few training challenges to help keep us motivated!
